 I.                 Schedule Changes:

 

1.    Wednesday, October 31, Halloween, all groups will have an altered schedule. Please see the schedule below or check your group calendar here:

Senior Elite, Senior II, and PreSenior II - 3:30-5:30 PM at Aquatic Center

Senior I, PreSenior I, Varsity - 4:00-5:30 PM at Aquatic Center

Age Group III, II, and I - 4:30-5:30 PM at Settlers Park

Junior I B, Junior II FCCA, and Blue B - 4:30-5:30 PM at Don Cook Nat

All YMCA Groups combined - 4:30-5:30 PM at YMCA

All New Territory Groups combined - 4:30-5:30 PM at New Territory

 II.               Breaking News

 

1.     Race volunteers are NEEDED for two upcoming FLS races, 27th Annual Sugar Land Surgical Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Morning at Finish Line Sports and the 27th annual Sugar Land FLS 30K Race on Sunday Dec. 9 at Sugar Land Town Square. 

Ø  Trot volunteers: 7:00am until 10:30am on Nov 22. Report to Volunteer Check-in at the front of Finish Line Sports, Hwy 59 at Sugar Creek Blvd. 

Ø  30K volunteers: 5:30am until 11:00am on Dec 9. Report to Volunteer Check-in at Amegy Bank on Plaza Drive in Sugar Land Town Square, Hwy 59 at Hwy 6. 

Ø  We have 14 different causes for each event. Over 1,300 racers are expected. We need about 200 volunteers each time.

If you opted in - check that your swimmer is entered and if you opted out - check that your swimmer is not listed. If you have any questions, please contact your swimmer's primary coach ASAP.

4.   FINAL Meet Entries Posted: FCST Open Meet Nov. 17 & 18. Please review the entries if this is a meet for your swimmer’s age group. If you opted in - check that your swimmer is entered and if you opted out - check that your swimmer is not listed. If you have any questions, please contact your swimmer's primary coach ASAP.

 5.     Short Course Facility Fee Charge on (this Thursday) November 1st Billing: Once a year, every swimmer (youth competitive) is assessed a $15 per swimmer short-course facility fee. This fee helps off-set increased pool costs.

 6.     Join FCST Masters: Ever want to get in the water and swim like you feel your swimmer should be swimming? Join other parents, former swimmers and coaches, and swim with FCST Masters. The mission of FCST Masters is to promote fitness, health, wellness, competition, and love for the sport of swimming to all levels of adult swimmers. Our goal is to meet every swimmer at your current level and help you achieve your competitive or fitness goals. Cost is $50 a month to swim twice a week and $70 a month to swim unlimited times per week. If you have a current swimmer on the youth competitive team, you receive a 15% discount on Masters swimming dues. AM, PM, and noon times, schedule posted here.

 7.     PreFCST New Session at the YMCA on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4-4:45 pm. Cost is $125. Spread the word to non-FCST’ers: gain the needed skills to make the team or just increase swimming skills, for youngsters ages 4-10.
