Head Coach
(Senior Elite):
Ben Pulskamp
  

Coach Ben is enjoying his 9th year with FCST.  In Ben’s eight years with FCST the Age Group Program has continued to grow and compete at a high level.  FCST has produced over 20 National Top 10 athletes, many Futures Qualifiers and multiple Winter Junior National qualifiers.  His swimmers have achieved a number of Team Records and State Champions over the course of the past 8 years.  Coach Ben is an ASCA Level 4 certified coach that is very excited to lead the Senior Elite and Pre-Senior 3 groups.   

Ben comes to us from Spartanburg, SC where he was the Senior Coach for the Y-Spartaquatics Swim Club.   Ben grew up in Spartanburg, SC where he swam for Y-Spartaquatics for 13 years before attending the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.  Ben was a four year scholarship swimmer for the Seahawks at UNC-Wilmington where the team won four CAA Conference Championships.  While swimming at UNCW he was awarded the Most Outstanding Swimmer Award his sophomore year and was named team captain his senior year. 

Ben took over the top Pre-Senior group and the Senior 2 group at Y-Spartaquatics in 2013. During his time there he has coached multiple State Champions, Sectional Champions, Y-National Qualifiers/Finalists, Junior National Qualifiers and Nationally Ranked Top 10 Athletes.  He has also been part of the coaching staff that has lead the team to multiple Overall and Women’s Long Course Y-National Championships, the team’s first Short Course Y-National Championship as well as numerous State Championships.  Ben was also selected to the 2015 Southern Zone Select Camp Staff where he got to work with some of the Top 13-14 year olds in the country.

Before becoming part of the Y-Spartaquatics coaching staff Ben was in Charleston, SC with the Southern Marlins Racing Team.  From the time that he started in August 2009 he worked his way up from being the Gold Group coach to the Head Age group Coach.  Ben produced multiple Age Group Sectional Qualifiers/Finalists as well as State Champions and athletes that achieved Top 16 times. 

Ben is extremely excited to come to First Colony to continue a tradition of excellence.  He is very eager to apply his experiences and learn from the First Colony coaching staff to make the team its absolute best.


Head Age Group Coach 
(PreSenior 3 FC):
Jason Devine
 
Jason has been coaching in the GULF the last 19 years having served roles as Head Age Group Coach at DADS club, Rice Aquatics and Katy Aquatics. He served as a board member for Gulf Swimming for 6 years and was the TAGS representative for Gulf Swimming for 4 years. He has been selected to be on several Gulf travel teams and has run a clinic for the Gulf.
 
Coach Jason’s passion for coaching and skill driven teaching methods has earned him recognition as the GULF Age Group Coach of the Year in 2012, 2015 and 2016. Jason has experience coaching Masters, Developmental Age Groupers through National level swimmers. Under his coaching his swimmers have excelled at all levels of competitions. Jason has coached swimmers to Jr National(Winter and NCSA), Sectional, and USA Top 10 recognition every season for 7 years straight while having multiple individual and relay TAGS champions. 
 
Coach Jason’s highest national ranking for swimmers in his group was the 2017 11-12 girls 200 Free long course relay which finished #1 in the country.

Lee Hutchens
 
Coach Lee started with FCST last fall coming to us from the Jewish Community Center in Meyerland where he was the Aquatics Director for 5 years. At the JCC, he oversaw and managed their summer camp aquatics program, the learn to swim program and worked with their non competitive swimming program.

Before being the Aquatics Director at the JCC, Coach Lee had been a USA swimming coach for 16 years. During that 16 years, he coached swimmers at all levels from the beginner swimmer up to Senior National Qualifiers. 

He is excited to start his second season with FCST leading our Swim League, Lesson program, and Master swimming. 

Coach Lee swam at East Carolina University and is married to Megan Hutchens who swam at University of North Carolina and they have 2 boys age 3 & 7.

When he is not coaching Coach Lee likes to be around BBQ smoker while cheering on his Miami Dolphins.

Head Developmental Coach
(Blue Group FC):
Mandy Norris
   
Coach Mandy Norris is excited to begin her ninth year with FCST. Coach Mandy brings valuable experience in coaching the elite, age-group, and developmental athletes. She has coached in Gulf Swimming for the past eleven years.
  
Mandy is quite experienced in on-deck coaching, as well as team management. She has successfully led training sites & season planning for multiple training groups, coordinated team tryouts and registration, and managed team travel. Mandy is a Gulf Swimming certified meet director, and was a Gulf Age Group Zone Coach in 2013.
   
Coach Mandy earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a management concentration from Texas A&M University. She is an American Swim Coaches Association (ASCA) Level III certified coach and has studied Level III coursework.
  
Mandy has been married to her supportive husband, Lance, since 2011. They have two amazing little boys, ages 4 & 6. She lives in Katy with her beautiful family and their Australian Shepherd, Molly.
   
Coach Mandy will be leading our New Territory site, and coaching Blue 1 there this season.

Lead Long Meadow

(Age Group 3, PreSenior 1-3,
& Senior 2):
Trenton Thome
  
Coach Trenton Thome is currently in his eighth year with FCST coaching at all three levels of the team(Developmental, Age Group & Senior). Before FCST, Coach Trenton was with Katy Aquatics for one season, and also five seasons with Greatwood Gators summer league as the Head Coach amassing a 32-4 record in both SHRSL & WHALe. In eight total seasons at the club level of USA Swimming, Coach Trenton has coached a TAGS qualifying swimmer each season in addition to qualifiers at Senior Southern Zones. His philosophy on deck is to establish an environment that promotes positive team attitudes and encourages self-discipline, sportsmanship and responsibility by being a positive role model for the athletes by instilling confidence, building up a winning work ethic, and providing motivation through sport.
  
Coach Trenton obtained his bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration, with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Houston in Spring 2014. He is an American Swim Coaches Association(ASCA) Level III certified coach.
  
Coach Trenton is originally from Ohio, however, moved down to Houston, TX at a young age and found a love for the sport of swimming at the age of 7, swimming for both Greatwood Gators summer league and also Lamar Consolidated High School. Coach Trenton and his wife, Lauren(January 2019) live in Sugar Land and have two children(Scarlet(4) & Grayson(2)) He enjoys working out at the gym in his free time, watching endless hours of college football(favorite team: Ohio State) and being around his 6-year old black lab, Cooper.
  
Coach Trenton will be the site director for Long Meadow Farms as well as leading Age group 3, Pre-Senior 1, Pre-Senior 2, Pre-Senior 3 & Senior 2. He also has the role of Volunteer Coordinator with FCST for both Hosted and Away meets.

Lead FC Coach
(Age Group 4, Senior 3):
Adrian Gomez
 
Coach Adrian is embarking on his eighth year at FCST and his ninth year of coaching. He is excited to be the lead coach for First Colony Age Group 4 and Senior 3. Adrian has lead swimmers to LSC championship meets, TAGS, Sectionals, Southern Senior Zones, Futures, and Junior Nationals. Adrian enjoys the process and journey of guiding student-athletes to their stated goals through continuously improving and learning from experiences. 
 
Adrian received his Bachelors of Arts from Southwestern University in 2014. Where he swam collegiately four years and was elected team captain his junior and senior year. While not thinking of swimming he enjoys getting better at cooking, learning new life skills, and enjoying the Texas sun. An avid fan of the San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Cowboys, and the Houston Astros. 

Lead FC Coach (Senior 2)

Karim Harris
   
Coach Karim will be returning for his fourth season with FCST. Originally from Montgomery New York, Karim has been living in Texas for 2 years while as the Head Age Group Coach at SPA. Before that he worked for four years at the Long Island Aquatic Club where he was an assistant coach to various different groups including working with nationally ranked and NAG record swimmers.
 
Karim graduated in 2013 with a bachelor degree in both exercise science and sports management. While attending the university he competed for the swim team making conference finals all three years. Karim is also a former high school captain and record holder in swimming and track and field.
 
Swimming is Karim’s passion and he has been a swimmer since he was a small child. When he is not home spending time with his two dogs, he can be found outside running, playing volleyball and spending time with family. 
Lead FC Coach
(PreSenior 2 & Blue B):
Danielle Gincoo
 
This is Coach Danielle's first year with FCST. She grew up swimming in the Sugar Land area, beginning her swimming career in Southwest Houston Recreational Swim League. She continued swimming at SPA and SWAT. She finished her competitive career in high school at Clements and Travis, where she became a team captain.
 
Danielle graduated from the University of Houston in 2020 with a degree in Kinesiology with a focus on Fitness and Sports. Danielle has been teaching lessons and coaching for USA swimming for the past 7 years at Life Time Fitness. Danielle has hopes to obtain her masters degree in Biomechanics with a focus on swimming/sport.
 
In her free time she likes to go on food-ventures, travel, enjoys all forms of fitness including resistance training, yoga, and dance.

Lead FC Coach
(Senior 1 & Pre-Senior 1):
Susan Monteagudo
 
Coach Susan has been part of FCST's coaching staff since the Spring of 2015 and is now Lead Coach for Senior 1 and Pre-Senior 1 in the First Colony area. 
She started as part of FCST's 10 week Learn to Swim Program, has been lead instructor for Swim League 1, 2 and 3 and assistant Coach for White, Red and Blue 2 at the New Territory location, and Senior 1 and Age Group 2 in the First Colony area.  
 
Coach Susan is ASCA (American Swim Coaches Association) Level II certified. Has a Bachelors degree in Architecture and was a competitive swimmer for 12 years in her native country of El Salvador. She came to the United States in 2005 and, after joining FCST's Masters program, competed with them in several open water races and in two USMS National Championships.
 
Coach Susan has been married for 28 years and has 3 boys. Her oldest son Fernando has a Physics Degree from the University of Texas at Austin, her middle son Carlos was part of FCST's Senior Elite group and was a swimmer at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia where he graduated with a Chemistry Degree; he is now studying a PHD at Duke University in Durham, NC, and her youngest son Gabriel is studying Computer Engineering at the University of Houston.
 
In her free time, she enjoys watching movies and having quiet days at home with her husband and travels to El Salvador to visit her parents whenever there is a long weekend available. 
Coach Susan is very excited to be in charge of both Senior 1 and Pre-Senior 1 FC groups and cannot wait to see all of their achievements during this season.

Lead FC Coach
(Age Group 1 & 3):
Brooks McNamara
   

Coach Brooks is looking forward to his eighth year of coaching for FCST after competing on the team for nine years as a child. Brooks feels fortunate to have worked with many of the groups in the Developmental, Age Group, and Pre-Senior divisions.

As the lead for Age Group 1 and Age Group 3 FC, Brooks strives to foster an environment where each swimmer is recognized, developed, and challenged to grow as athletes and as people. 

Brooks is a graduate from the University of Houston. 

 

In his spare time, he can often be found in the water, swimming at one of our master's practices.


Lead Seven Meadows
( Blue 1,  Age Group 1 & 3  ):
Macy Moss

Coach Macy is starting her first season at FCST coaching Red and White at the Seven Meadows. Macy has been coaching for 5 years going on 6 now and loves every aspect of swimming and what the sport teaches individuals. 

 
Coach Macy graduated with a B.S. in Kinesiology and a minor in Business Management. Macy started her coaching career with Blue Tide Aquatics in 2016. During her time there she coached developmental, age group, and helped with the national level swimmers. Some of Macy’s coaching accomplishments has been swimmers qualifying in TAGS for SC/LC 2017, LC 2018, and SC 2021. Coach Macy is a level 2 ASCA member and on the Gulf LC Club Developmental Committee. 
 
During her spare time she loves to be outside, she's always on the go, and is very excited about marrying her future husband this October.
Lead FC Coach  (White & Red):
Hillary Martinez
 
Coach Hillary Martinez will be leading FC White & Red Groups for the short course season, as well as the team’s registrar & billing administrator this year. She is a level 3 ASCA coach. She has coached for 17 years with FCST where she was the Developmental Lead Coach for four years. Prior to FCST she was with a local Gulf swim club where she ran their Developmental Program. 
 
She started her coaching career with Southwest Houston Recreational League; she coached for the Glenshire Gators for 12 years and was instrumental in starting the Sienna Sharks, where she coached for 3 years. Hillary brings to the pool deck her love for working with children, building their minds, self-confidence and physical being.
 
Hillary has been married to her husband Tony of 35 years, has four grown children and 12 grandchildren, number 13 will be here in December.

Lead New Territory Coach
(White, Red, & Age Group 2):
Justin Mouton
   
Coach Justin is starting his seventh season with FCST and first as the lead coach for FCST White, Red, and Blue 2 in New Territory. Justin has a bachelor's in Computer Science from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. 
  
Coach Justin is an American Swim Coaches Association (ASCA) Level III certified coach and has studied Level III coursework.  
       
Before coming to FCST, Justin was an assistant coach for the Beaumont Area Swim Team (BAST) for 7 years, and has several years experience in teaching lessons. Justin also competed for BAST for 8 years and with Clifton J. Ozen High School for 4 years.
  
When Justin isn't on deck he enjoys watching anime, horror movies, reading, parkour, and playing video games in his spare time. 

Lead Seven Meadows
(White, Red, & Age Group 2 ):
Lillian Galvan
 
This is Coach Lillian’s first year with the FCST family where she will be leading White, Red & Blue 2 at Seven Meadows. Lillian has coached and led swimmers to LSC championships, TAGS, Sectionals, and Southern Senior Zones. Along with all the coaching experience she has, Lillian also has a lot of swimming experience herself. During her swimming career she made varsity as a freshman, swam at regionals, state, sectionals, and zones. 
 
Coach Lillian went to Western Colorado University and swam for the Mountaineers for 2 years and then came home due to an injury. She started coaching for Swim Ohana where she coached the developmental group, assisted/lead in age group, and assisted with the high schoolers. While coaching at Ohana for 2.5 years she found out she loved coaching for the developmental group and breaking down/educating the kids about the strokes. 
 
While Coach Lillian is not on deck she is hanging out with her friends and family, taking her dog Kato on walks, and enjoys spending time on the lake.

Lead Swim League Coach:
Trevor Moore
 
This is Coach Trevor's first year on the team. He is excited to bring his experience from coaching multiple sports to the team. He has competed collegiately in football and track and field at Stephen F. Austin State University and has taught swim lessons/coached swim team for nearly 8 years. 
 
He loves to help young athletes build a healthy athletic mentality to set themselves up to develop. When he’s not coaching, Trevor loves playing video games and going to concerts.

 
Assistant Coach:  
Jerome Muniz
   
Coach Jerome has been working as an assistant coach with FCST for the past 3 years, working with Blue 1 and Blue 2, and Pre-Senior 1-3. 
Coach Jerome is in his 3rd year as the Head Aquatics Coach at Kempner High School in Fort Bend ISD and has been coaching at Kempner High School for the past 15 years. He is also an AP Environmental Science Teacher, AVID Coordinator, and AVID Elective Teacher. During the Summer, he coaches the Covington Wood Stingrays in SHRSL.  
During his time in FBISD, Coach Jerome has help developed 2 UIL State Qualifying Swimmers, multiple Top 6 Regional Swimmers, and 7 District Champs. He believes the fast swimming starts with strong fundamentals and the development of an excellent work ethic. He hopes to meet every athlete where they are and coach them to a place they haven’t been before.  
Jerome received his Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with an emphasis on Teaching from the University of Houston in 2004. When he isn’t on deck coaching or in the classroom teaching, Jerome enjoys working out, eating great food, and expanding his knowledge about anything. He likes watching sports, especially college athletics (GO COOGS!), cartoons, and anything related to Marvel Comics.

Assistant Coach:
Colin Crow
 
 
Coach Colin just started his first year coaching for FCST. However, he has been a Gulf Swimming coach for the past 6 years in addition to being the Head Coach of the recreational swim team First Colony Gators for the past 2 years. 
 
Colin swam for FCST for 6 years before swimming for Texas Christian University for one year. He has always loved swimming and also is very competitive. He is excited to coach for the team he used to swim for.
 
Colin, in his own time, enjoys playing video games as well as going to the climbing gym.

Assistant Coach:
Myka Cupp-Vasquez
   
Coach Myka was a swimmer when she was younger and continued swimming through high school, where she swam for 4 years and became captain during her senior year.
     
Coach Myka received an Associates of Arts in Business Administration in 2016 and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resource Development in 2019 at The University of Houston.
   
Coach Myka has coached with FCST for 5 years. She is currently coaching Swim League and she has helped with groups such as Age Group 1, Age Group 3, Pre-Senior 1, & many others over the years.
Assistant Coach:
Stephanie Boehm
   
This is Coach Stephanie’s first season coaching at FCST with Red and White at CG8. She first started swimming at four years old for summer league and continued throughout high school. For the past six years she’s been an assistant coach for the summer league team she used to swim for! She is so excited to bring what’s she’s learned to this team and get young swimmers to love the sport as much as she does. 
 
Coach Stephanie is currently going to the University of Houston majoring in Education. She will graduate this December with a B.S. in Teaching and Learning. Go Coogs!
 
When she’s not on deck she loves being with family and friends, hanging out with her dogs Tank and Petey, eating sushi, and listening to music.
