Lead FC Coach
(Senior 3 &
Pre-Senior 3):
Adrian Damasco IV

It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself to the First Colony Swim Team Family! I am excited to get to know everyone and look forward to making a positive impact on a program rich in history and success. This coming season marks my 15th year of coaching. I have extensive experience at all levels of a swim program, having coached teams of various sizes and markets throughout the country. Throughout my coaching journey, I have been able to discover my coaching identity and develop a philosophy that aligns with what FCST is all about. With hard work, technique development, and strategic planning, the sky is the limit for our athletes. My training is based on a balance of hard work, IM, and kicking in a fun environment.

At a competition level, I have coached numerous athletes to tags, sectionals, Junior Nationals, US Open, and Olympic Trials. Additionally, I have been fortunate enough to spend the last five years at USA Swimming’s National Select Camps, serving in Assistant and Head Coach positions. I have achieved ASCA Level 4.

My club coaching career began at Nitro Swimming, where I served as their Head Age Group Coach for their Bee Cave location. During my tenure, I played an integral part in the success at the Tags and National levels, developing numerous tags/sectional/junior national qualifiers. Following my time at Nitro, I had the pleasure of serving the Los Angeles Swim Club as their Associate Head Coach & Assistant Varsity Coach at Harvard-Westlake. During my time in Los Angeles, I coached numerous swimmers to Top 10 nationally ranked times, junior national qualifiers, and one athlete to the Worlds Team for Morocco. Eventually, I returned home and took a job at Austin Swim Club, where I served as their Head Age Group Coach and Head Coach for several years. During my tenure there, I was able to qualify one of our swimmers for this year's Olympic Trials meet in Indianapolis. I am coming off a successful short-course and long-course season with SSAN, helping them continue to make an impact at the age-group and National levels.

Outside of the pool deck, I enjoy spending time with my beloved wife, Jocelin. You can often find us traveling, cooking, BBQing, playing disc golf, or bowling. I am a big sports fan, having lived in Texas and California. Although my teams may not be entirely supported in Texas, I am a fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Astros, San Jose Sharks, San Francisco 49ers, and THE University of Texas.

I can't wait to step onto the deck with FCST, and you will often hear my loud voice, whistling, and occasionally banging on a bucket during a challenge set!
