Four FCST Members Named to USA Swimming National Committees

USA Swimming has twenty-seven national committees that support the USA Swimming Board of Directors. Every year, coaches, athletes, and officials submit applications to sit on these committees. This year, FCST had FOUR members appointed to a national committee!

Simone Manuel, a junior at Austin High School, was appointed to the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. The mission of this committee is to provide opportunities in swimming to the under-represented and economically disadvantaged youth in the United States. She will serve a one-year term as an athlete rep.

Kaitlyn Swinney, a junior at Austin High School, was appointed to the Senior Committee.  The mission of the Senior Committee is to evaluate programs, advise, and make recommendations focusing on all issues affecting senior level athletes and coaches. She will serve a one-year term as an athlete rep.

Coach Lindsie Micko is the lead Age Group III and Age Group I-FCCA coach. She was appointed to the Age Group Development Committee. The mission of the committee is to plan for the needs of the age group level of our sport. The committee generates, evaluates, and communicates ideas, which will assist USA Swimming in planning and developing quality age group programs.  Coach Lindsie will serve a four-year term.

Coach Allison Beebe is the head coach of FCST and leads the Senior Elite group. She was appointed to a second term of the Club Development Committee, where she will serve as  chair of the committee. The mission of the committee is to develop and implement programs that help build, support, and educate USA Swimming member clubs. Coach Allison will serve a four-year term.

All four national committee members will meet via conference call or in person with their committees. They will also attend the USA Swimming National Convention in California in September.
