Simone Earns Spot on World Championship Team- Breaks National Age Group Record

Congratulations to Simone Manuel, who placed 2nd in the 50m freestyle at the 2013 World Championships Trials. Simone's time of 25.01 is the fastest 15-16 time in American history! By placing 2nd in the event, Simone has earned an individual event at the World Championships in July. She was named the 18 & Under national champion in the event.

Previously in the week, Simone placed 3rd in the 100m freestyle, earning a spot on the 4 x 100 freestyle relay.
