SyncroStar Regional Meet Success!

 

The First Colony SynchroStars competed in our Regional meet the weekend of April 26-27 in San Antonio, Texas.  We had great success with 12 athletes qualifying for Age Group Nationals.  This is a total of 9 routines and is an all time high for the SynchroStars.   The SynchroStars also had the most athletes from any team awarded the "Flexibility Award".   Nationals will be held in Federal Way, Washington June 27-July 5 and we will be competing against amazing synchronized swimmers from all around the United States.

10 & Under - Age Group
  • Becky Chiu - 1st in Solo, 1st in Duet, 1st in Figures
  • Allison Lee - 1st in Duet, 2nd in Solo, 2nd in Figures
11-12 - Age Group
  • Becky Chiu, Allison Lee, Gloria Chen, Kyndall Li, Jori Avendurado, Sonya Hermesch, Brinn Tremaine, & Amanda Lee - 1st in Team
  • Gloria Chen - 3rd in Solo, 2nd in Duet, 2nd in Figures
  • Brinn Tremaine - 2nd in Duet
  • Kyndall Li - 3rd in Trio
  • Amanda Lee - 3rd in Trio
  • Jori Aventurado - 3rd in Trio
13-15 - Age Group
  • Abby Remmers - 1st in Solo, 1st in Duet, 1st in Figures
  • Christy Lee - 1st in Duet
  • Nelly Akhmadikina - 3rd in Solo
16-17 - Age Group
  • Elizabeth Oh - 2nd in Solo, 2nd in Duet, 2nd in Figures
  • Hannah Chiu - 2nd in Duet
11-12 - Intermediate
  • Lisa Galchenko, Lydia Hassall, Madison Costa, Stephanie Wilson, Tess Purdy, Nour Hassan - 1st in Team

We also had 2 athletes qualify for the US Open Championships which will be held in mid July in Henderson, Nevada.  Congratulations, Hannah Chiu and Elizabeth Oh!
 
Abby Remmers (13-15 Age Group) and Elizabeth Oh (16-17 Age Group) have been invited to attend the National Team Training Camp in Riverside, CA, in July, along with 17 other athletes in the United States.
