Blue Blizzard wins annual FCST Red/White/Blue meet!

395 FCST athletes joined in the fun for the annual Red/White/Blue Challenge, held Sept 27-28 at the FBISD Training Pool. This is one of the few meets annually where each FCST athlete can compete together at the same meet session, regardless of training group or training site.

Making the meet fun is splitting the FCST athletes into 3 different teams with team captains and team cheers. Athletes report to their respective team coaches, not necessarily the coach they see every day in practice. Following the meet, FCST holds their annual Long Course banquet, recognizing achievement and participation from the past summer.

For many swimmers, this meet serves opportunity to swim events in a 25 yard pool for the first time since February or March.  For our new swimmers, it serves as an opportunity to earn a base time in each of the 4 competitive strokes.
