FCST Takes Second at Champs III; Team Driven Results!

Pearland, Texas

The Pearland Natatorium was a very exciting place to be this past weekend with many FCST swimmers achieving Personal Best Times as well as cuts for next level meets.  It was a 3 day swim meet with Finals Sessions that were beyond entertaining.  FCST had 55 athletes that gave an outstanding effort throughout the entire weekend.  The team ended up getting 2^nd overall while still focusing on multiple championship meets ahead.  Many new TAGS qualifying swims along with new American Junior National Classic cuts being achieved.  The swimmers did an outstanding job of staying focused on the swims that they had in front of them.

Ashlyn Hembree had an outstanding meet while achieving all best times and earning the 13-14 Girls High Point award.  Ashlyn was also able to achieve 3 new TAGS cuts at the meet.  Todd Achuff, Abigail Nelson, Anthony Liu, Kevin Zhou, and Logan Brown also picked up new TAGS cuts to add events to their final Championship Meet.  Mark Levchenko had a breakout swim with the 50 Freestyle and achieved his 1^st American Junior National Classic cut.

A huge thank you to all the parents and fans in the crowd.  The swimmers could all feel the support that they had behind them as they stepped up on the blocks.  Please see the below list for who placed in the Top 16 in each event.  Congratulations to everyone to everyone that competed throughout the weekend and keep up the great work. 

Thank you to all the coaches, board members, officials, volunteers and of course the FCST Swimmers for putting together a great atmosphere and environment throughout the weekend.   The air quality was challenging at times but with everyone’s help and positive attitude we were able to put together an incredible show of swimming.
