TEAM LEADERSHIP INSPIRES AT SUMMER CHAMPS! Hosted by FCST

2018 Gulf Summer Championship Hosted by FCST

July 20-22, 2018 

Don Cook Nat. - Sugar Land, Texas

 First Colony Swim Team competed at the 2018 Gulf Summer Champs Meet this past weekend. It was a wonderful showing from all of FCST’s swimmers, and they set the tone with how often they were by the pool, cheering on their teammates. We were proud of our younger swimmers asking coaches what the older kid’s name was, who was in the water, and then started cheering for them! Team work is something we strive to reinforce at FCST, and the swimmers picked up on it!

   Each day we had two prelim sessions and one final session. The swimmers were encouraged to race hard in the morning (being “prelims ready”), so that they would have the best chance of making it to finals. We are proud to say we had several swimmers who made their first finals, getting some very good experience for the next time they make finals!

   Each morning and evening sessions, the finals team meeting and team cheer was lead by one of our seniors. FCST wants to thank Christian, Nicole, and Jake for their leadership and for making the team meeting more personal. First Colony is proud of all of its swimmers, and they did a great job at the Gulf Summer Champs Meet.                                                                           

   Last, but not least, thank you all parents that helped make the Championship meet a reality! Without your hard work and commitment the meet could not be what it was! We are the standard when it comes to hosting meets in the Gulf area; you are a huge part of that standard! Thank you!
