Meaning of Team in One Photo... April Dual Meet Summary

2019 April Dual Meet with SSAN Hosted by FCST

Don Cook Natatorium - Sugar Land, Texas

With over 250 swimmers FCST dominated the majority of  events from 10 & under to the 15 and up age group. This meet launched our long course competition with great competition from Swim Streamline at Northhampton. Thank you SSAN for coming! 

We want to thank our volunteers for their dedication and time. Becuase of our amazing volunteers our coaches can do their job and help the swimmers on their journey of improving this long course season. Our parents and volunteers will be recognized moving forward with our #FCSTFanClub hashtag.

At the same time, the swimmers led the way in showing what it means to be a part of a supportive team. The featured and second photo of this summary showcase the ammount of support the swimmers had for each other all weekend. 

On the featured photo the swimmers are cheering their teammtes on their first 800 Freestyle swim. The swimmers swimming the event stated that they could hear the cheers even underwater! You can see the emotion on the swimmers faces! This is a great example of teammtes supporting teammtes.

On the second photo the last heat of the boys 13 - 18 400 IM was swimming right before the start of the 12 and under warm up. The 12 and unders with the guidance of our Senior Elite swimmer Ishmael decided to cheer the whole heat regardless of what team they were on. Senior Elite swimmer Anthony commented on the ammount of enegry and volume he felt during the swim! He felt the support from the 12 and unders! This is a great example of the ever growing community of swimmer supporting each other!

Finally, we have a photo of Daniel, Shirley, Jun, and Karl who are critical componets in the success of hosting a swim meet. Without the dedicaion of these individuals and many others we would not be able to be the standard of hosting meets in the Gulf. We will do a better job of featuring these volunteers and others in the future meets. #volunteersmatter

Thank you again! We will carry this momentum into our May meets: we have another FCST hosted meet for our White and Red Groups this coming weekend and on the 17 - 19 we will vist the Woodlands for the TWST May Invite. #BeFCST
