Speedo Summer Champs Team Record Breaking Performance Completes LC 2021 Champs Season

Congratulation to the five swimmers representing FCST at the Speedo Summer Champs West Meet in Irvine, CA. The team was paced by Logan Brown and his record-breaking performance. Logan placed 7^th in the 200M Breaststroke with a time of 2:16.55. His time broke the GULF LSC 15-16 record by more than two seconds and is 27^th All-Time for
USA Swimming 16 year-old boys. Logan also finished 11^th in the 100M Breaststroke with a time of 1:03.56, which is also a 15-16 GULF Record. His opening 50 split also broke the 15-16 boys GULF 50M Breaststroke! Logan also finished 12^th in the 400IM 4:31.35 and 12^th in the 200IM 2:05.92, which were both FCST 15-18 and OPEN records.

In addition, Kayla Fu swam an 11^th place 100M Freestyle 57.07 to put the girls team on the scoreboard. Kayla also swam a huge 50FR 26.30 to finish in 25^th winning the 18&Under final from lane 1.

Avery Collins and Hayden Bellotti also had outstanding swims to make the evening finals sessions. Avery finished 28^th in the 100M Breaststroke 1:12.73, while Hayden finished 24^th in the 200M Freestyle 1:53.88 and 23^rd in the 400M Freestyle 4:05.09.

Hayden Bellotti and Alex Fu also shattered the FCST Team records in back to back heats of the 100M Butterfly 56.48 and 56.00 respectfully.

Thanks to the swimmers and their families for putting in the time and energy to make the long travel to California possible.
