FCST Starts Out With a Win at Champs 1! Setting the Tone for 2022 SC Champs Season!

FCST WINS SHORT COURSE CHAMPS I

After a long day of racing on Saturday, February 12^th, the FCST 8 & Unders came home champions of the 2022 Gulf Swimming Short Course Champs I meet. This team of young swimmers prevailed over 43 other teams for a combined score of 346 points. For the first time in many years, Gulf Swimming brought together 40+ teams from across the LSC to compete at one, single championship meet. Teams were split into three categories based on the number of athletes competing- Large, Medium, and Small. FCST brought over 60 athletes and won the Large Team category. Other teams competing in the Large Team category included TWST, CFSC, and DADS.

This meet brought many challenges, but our young swimmers stayed strong, focused, and ready to race. The grit and perseverance all these kiddos showed is unparalleled. We would especially like to commend the following swimmers for being top point earners in their respective categories:

6 & Under Boys

8 Year Old Girls
