Congratulations to all FCST swimmers that traveled to Friendswood, TX this past weekend to race for two and a half days in a Prelims/Finals Meet against eight other teams and for winning, by 1,274.5 points, over the hosting team Sharks Swim Club.

The meet started on Friday and besides the 400 IM and 500 FR, Friday night also offered our 13&Overs the rare opportunity to swim 50 FL, 50 BK and 50 BR. Many swimmers came to the meet that day just to swim the 50's; we cannot thank you enough, parents, for your support and dedication, especially when a 50 race can sometimes be just under 30 seconds.

Saturday morning saw both our 13-14 Girls and Boys 400 Yard Medley Relay, A and B, winning 1st and 2nd place.
In the 15&Over category 400 Medley Relay, the girls A relay claimed 3rd place while our girls B relay got 7th place. The boys 15&Over A relay won 2nd place and it was an exciting 3rd place for our boys B relay.
Saturday Prelim session ended with the 1000 FR where some swimmers had the opportunity to try this long-distance event for the first time.
The morning session was long but that didn't stop our swimmers for coming back to Finals and help FCST be the team with the most points, something that started Friday night and our team never let go.

On Sunday morning we had the always heart stopping 400 FR Relay where our fastest freestylers at the meet placed as follow :
Girls 13-14 A relay 1st place, B relay 3rd place
Boys 13-14 A relay 1st place, B relay 2nd place
Girls 15&Over A relay 2nd place, B relay 7th place
Boys 15&Over A relay 3rd place, B relay 6th place
Sunday's last event, not only in Prelims but also in Finals was the mile : 1650 yards. Our swimmers came full of energy and gave every race their all to help our team stay on top of the scoring board and win our Championship Meet.

Thank you, swimmers and parents, for your support! This win is for you and because of you!
Thank you to the many volunteers and officials that helped run this meet successfully and to Sharks Swim Club for being an amazing host.
Thank you all! And looking forward to a great Long Course Season.
GO DUCKS!
