2024 Sectionals

March 7-10th – Northwest ISD Aquatic Center

First Colony Swim Team made their way up to Justin, TX this past weekend to compete at the SC Sectionals Championships to swim against some of the fastest swimmers across the country. From California to Louisiana, and Oregon to Hawaii, there was plenty of representation for FCST to race against at this high level meet.

9 sessions in total through four days of competition and FCST was able to place 9th overall(2nd placed Gulf Team). Our team leader in points for the weekend was Kayla Fu with 70 points thanks to finishes like the 100 Free(49.48) where she tied for 1st Place in a thrilling duel in the pool Friday night. Qualifying for Finals in all her individual events while leading the girls side in each of the relays lead the momentum from one day to the next.

On the Men’s side, Jack Boysen did his part by securing 17 points alone and assisting in 3 relays that finished in the top 10. One of the best swims of the weekend was Jack’s 50 Free where he finished 2nd overall with a time of 20.41. One of the loudest events throughout the weekend was the 50 Free where all 8 swimmers in A final were unbelievably close at the finish where Jack came away with a Silver Medal.

FCST would like to thank all the parents that came out to support the team. FCST would also like to thank our timers and officials for an efficient and great swim meet! The team looks forward to continuing their success into Long Course season.
