FCST heads to Cypress for Mardi Gras Extravaganza

Select swimmers from First Colony Swim Team made the trek up to Cypress this past weekend to attend the FLEET hosted Mardi Gras Extravaganza Invite as a last chance tune-up before championship season gets underway. FCST placed first in both Men's and Women's scores over the likes of KATY, CFSC, and TWST among others. 

11&O athletes raced hard during the morning prelim sessions to earn their way back to finals for a second swim in the evening; the 10&U swimmers carried that determination into the afternoon prelims session to race for their spots into the top eight A-final.  Many new time standards, bonus & hard cuts, and personal bests were achieved. The fortunate swimmers to win a hot heat were awarded Mardi Gras themed ducks or squishmallows.

The coaching staff is eager to see what the team can accomplish moving toward the end of the season. Congratulations to all who competed and thank you to FLEET for a great meet!
