FCST Secures 4th Place Finish at TAGS

2025 LC Texas Age Group Championship

July 16-20, 2025

 

Seventy eight teams from across Texas gathered at the Arlington ISD Natatorium to compete at the Texas Age Group Championship hosted by MARS Swimming. Thirty two athletes from First Colony Swim Team represented and battled to a sixth place men's, sixth place women's, and fourth place overall finish. FCST also placed first among teams representing from the GULF LSC. 

 

This feat is made even more impressive in that it was achieved solely by Age Group swimmers in our 10 & under and 11-12 divisions. Our qualified 13-14 swimmers will be travelling to St. Petersburg, Florida next week where they will be competing in the 2025 ISCA Senior Blast meet in order to gain experience and exposure that will aid them as they begin to transition to the Senior division. 

 

The weekend was filled with numerous displays of what it means to swim for First Colony: whether that was seizing opportunities to compete at the highest stage, getting up and rallying teammates behind the blocks, or coming together to deliver for the team during relay events. Landon Wu: 2nd 200 IM, 1st 200 Fly, 2nd 200 Fr, 1st 100 Fly, 1st 50 Fly, 2nd 400 Fr, 4th 50 Fr

Athena Zhang: 3rd 50 Br, 2nd 100 Br, 7th 50 Fr

Ellie Zhang: 5th 200 IM, 1st 50 Br, 6th 100 Fly, 3rd 50 Fly, 2nd 100 Br, 2nd 200 Br, 8th 50 Fr
