The GULF LSC closed out the long course season this weekend with the LC Gulf Summer Champs meet held at the FBISD Training Pool. 103 FCST athletes across the team, from Red Group to Seniors, worked together to secure a first-place men's, women's, and overall team finish. 

 

Our athletes have been working hard all season; swimmers were encouraged to remember the time and effort that they committed this Summer, in the water, during dryland workouts, or in the meets leading up to this point. The team raced to achieve numerous best times, new motivational time standards, and new Age Group Champs qualifying times. 

 

Despite several weather delays, the team stay focused on the task at hand- bringing the energy early in the morning to race for their spots in finals, supporting their teammates through the ups-and-downs that sports inevitably evoke, and representing the values that make our program so great. 

 

Parents, thank you for your flexibility and support, we are so grateful to have such a community behind us as we strive for great things, not only in the competition pool but also around the pool deck!
