TAGS Championships

Congratulations to FCST swimmers who competed at the Texas Age Group Swimming (TAGS) meet on July 25th-29th in Austin,Texas.  Overall the team finished in 12th place and saw FCST record breaking swims as well as several new Sectional qualifiers.

Congratulations to Luke LeBlanc for his record breaking swim in the 11-12 Boys 200 Fly.  Luke swam to a 2:32.92 which broke the previous record by 2 seconds.  Luke dropped a total of 11 seconds for this record breaking swim!  In addition to his record, two relay records were broken at the meet.  Congratulations to the 11-12 Boys 400 Free Relay of Charles Yuen, Josh Fruge, Jeff Kue, and LeBlanc  who broke the FCST team record with a time of 4:23.38, and to the 13-14 Boys 800 Free Relay of Carlos Monteagudo, Arthur Yuen, Barrett Roberts, and Chris Yeager who broke the FCST team record with a time of 8:39.01. Way to go boys!

The 13-14 year old swimmers had a fantastic meet with several achieving first time Sectional times.  Congratulations to Darrin Asphall (400fr, 800fr), Brittany Bui (200fy), Peyton Quattlebaum (1500fr), Barrett Roberts (200bk), Chris Yeager (400fr, 800fr, 1500fr), and Arthur Yuen (100br).  In addition to these outstanding swims, numerous swimmers added USA Swimming "AAAA" times to their name.  Congratulations to Darrin (13-14 Boys 200fr, 400fr, 800fr, 1500fr), Claire Donovan (11-12 Girls 200fr), Luke (11-12 Boys 200fy, 400fr), Michael Lin (13-14 Boys 200im), Payton Neff (11-12 Girls 200fr), Barrett (13-14 Boys 100bk, 200bk), and Chris (13-14 Boys 800fr, 1500fr).
