FCST Women Take FIRST at Senior Zones

FCST Senior swimmers had an excellent showing at the USA Swimming Senior Zones meet in Plantation, Florida on August 6th-12th.  The Women's team walked away with a first place finish overall narrowly edging out South Florida Aquatic Club by just 10 points!  Combined, the team finished in 5th out of 22 teams from across the southern states.

The women's team had incredible swims throughout the week which included a new FCST team record in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 2:05.58L.  The team of Colleen Lord, Gabby Babb, Asia Quentin, and Alex Remy broke the old record which stood for six years.  Asia Quentin continued her success with a new Short Course Junior National time in the 100 Fly with a time 1:03.44L.  Teammate's Gabby Babb, Elizabeth Davis, Colleen Lord, Delaney Quattlebaum, and Alex Remy each achieved new Sectional times.  Way to go girls!

Not to be outdone, the men's team had some great swims as well.  Antoine Marc started his meet off with a new Summer Junior National time in the 800 Free with a time of 8:26.82L.  Teammate's Colin Hwang and Sam Polisini each achieved several new Sectional times as well.  Way to go boys!

Swimmers finishing in the Top 8 at the meet were: Gabby Babb (8th - 100 Breast), Colin Hwang (5th - 50 Free), Colleen Lord (1st - 100 Free, 2nd - 200 Back, 2nd - 200 Free, 3rd - 100 Back, 4th - 400 Free, and 5th - 50 Free), Antoine Marc (2nd - 200 Fly, 2nd - 400 IM, 3rd - 800 Free, 5th - 200 Free, 6th - 400 Free, 6th - 1500 Free), Ashley Mercadel (7th - 50 Free, 8th - 100 Free, 8th - 1500 Free), Sam Polisini (5th - 100 Breast), Delaney Quattlebaum (4th - 1500 Free, 6th - 800 Free), Asia Quentin (1st - 100 Fly, 1st - 200 Fly, 1st - 200 IM, 2nd - 400 IM, 5th - 100 Free), and Alex Remy (8th - 100 Fly, 8th - 200 Fly).
