FCST finishes the 2013 Long Course Texas Age Group Championships in 7th place. The team improved greatly from short course - moving up from 15th. There were great performances throughout the meet from all age-groups. Behind Darrin Asphall's winning 200 Free, the FCST contingent had another strong day at the Texas Age Group Championships. The team is in a solid 7th place with 2 days remaining. With a strong effort in the 200 Fly, FCST sits 7th after Day 2 of the Texas Age Group State Championships. Jacey Hinton won her first TAGS Championship in the 50 Backstroke and Victoria Tillman achieved her first NCSA Junior National Cut. Chris Yeager led the FCST Group on Day 1 of the Texas Age Group Championships by finishing 1st in the 13-14 Boys 800 Freestyle. In addition, Darrin Asphall finished 3rd and Carlos Monteagudo 9th. On the girls side, Peyton Quattlebaum led the way with a 9th place finish in the 800 Freestyle and Ashley Harmon was 13th. The 13-14 Girls 800 Free Relay finished 9th. The First Colony Swim Team would like to welcome Coach Jill Quinn to the FCST family! Coach Jill will be moving to Sugar Land from Indiana where she has been Union Township Swim Club’s Developmental Typhoon Lead Coach. She will be the lead coach for the FCCA Blue and Red groups this Fall. Coach Jill has a degree in Early Childhood Education and recently placed 10th at Masters Nationals in the 50m backstroke.
