The First Colony Swim Team is excited to announce the hiring of Coach Andre Smith. Coach Smith is no stranger to the area, as he has been coaching here since 1997. He started his career as the interim head coach of Alief Aquatics. He later joined FCST for 7 years, where he was the Elite Developmental Coach and assisted with the age group and senior programs. Congratulations to the sixteen FCST senior swimmers who competed at USA Swimming Sectionals on July 31st-Aug 4th at Texas A&M. Overall the team finished 7th in the combined scoring out of 90+ teams and achieved new FCST team records ,National times, and USA Swimming Motivational times. Congratulations to 15-yr-old Simone Manuel, who was selected to represent USA Swimming at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Hawaii this August. Twenty 18 & Under females were selected based off their results at the 2012 Olympic Trials. Eight members of the First Colony Swim Team in Sugar Land, Texas just finished competing at the fastest meet in the country. USA Swimming released the 2012 Club Excellence results, and FCST has been named a USA Swimming GOLD MEDAL Club! This is the first time FCST has achieved this honor, and FCST is the only Texas team to make the Top 20 this year! The Club Excellence Program identifies the top 18 & under clubs based strictly on performance. The top 20 clubs are named Gold Medal clubs, the next 80 clubs are named Silver Medal clubs, and the remaining clubs with a Junior National qualifier are named Bronze Medal...
