  First Colony Wins Gulf Open Water Champs! Congratulations to all FCST swimmers who participated in the 2012 Gulf Open Water Championships!  FCST won the combined team title with 396 points and the men’s title with 200 points. The ladies placed 2nd with 196 points. Leading FCST were our individual event winners: Bryan Pan- 10 & Under 800 Free, Madison Varisco- 15 & Over 800 Free, Christopher Yeager- 13 & 14 2 mile, and Corey Duke- 15 & Over 2 mile. USA Swimming Top 10-Long Course Meters USA Swimming has been compiling the fastest times for all Long Course Meter swims from September 1, 2011-August 31, 2012.  From these times USA has published the Top 10 times from around the country.  For this past season First Colony Swim Team had 6 swimmers make the list. FCST would like to congratulate Donna Lai for winning the R. S. Bob Stallings award at the annual Gulf banquet! According to the Gulf handbook: The R.S. ’Bob’ Stallings Award was established in 2008 to recognize a swim official for his/her invaluable contribution to Gulf Swimming. The award is named after Bob Stallings, a former Texas A&M swimmer and longtime Gulf Swimming, high school and collegiate official.
