Gulf Swimming is in need of volunteer swimmers to demonstrate stroke and turn technique for the on-deck portion at the Gulf Official training clinics held on Saturday 9/13 and Saturday 9/27.  If you have a swimmer who would be interested in volunteering to help us train our officials please contact Rick Tobin at [email protected] .  They will need swimmers for about one hour (2:30-3:30pm) on Sept 13 and Sept 27th.  (FCST swimmers - reminder that the RWB meet is on Sept 27th)

  FCST Shines at TAGS!   30 athletes and their families competed in the annual long course Texas Age Group Swimming (TAGS) Championship, July 23-27, held on the campus of The University of Texas at Austin. This is an age-group meet consisting of swimmers throughout the state of Texas with qualifying times around AAA times or faster.   96 athletes qualified for and competed in the annual Gulf Swimming Summer Championships, hosted by FCST at the Don Cook Natatorium. FCST finished first in the team totals with 4030.5 points, almost1000 points ahead of 2nd place. For many athletes, this meet serves as a season ending championship meet, where athletes can earn new qualifying times for meets later this summer (TAGS, Southern Zones, etc.), or for meets later this winter (Gulf Age Group Champs, Gulf Senior Champs).   FCST takes 5th at Inaugural Gulf Age Group Champs   34 FCST athletes traveled to Cypress, TX for the inaugural Gulf Swimming Age Group Championships, hosted by the Cy-Fair Swim Club. This meet serves as a championship meet for athletes with BB times trying to earn Gulf Summer Champs qualifying standards.   The meet format is very athlete friendly, whereas the Gulf up/down rule applies to qualifying, and the top 20 swimmers from prelims in each event earn a spot in finals. 23 of our 34 swimmers were able...

  FCST takes 4th in annual B&U Championships   Magnolia, TX – 74 FCST athletes competed in the annual B&U Championships, July 12-13. This meet, contested in a 25-yard course, serves as a summer championship meet for 12&U swimmers trying to earn BB times and qualify for the Gulf Age Group Championships.
