Congratulations to Alicia Finnigan and Simone Manuel who traveled to Mesa for the April segment of USA Swimming's Grand Prix series. This was an extra-exciting Grand Prix, as it featured the return of Michael Phelps to competitive swimming. Alicia made finals in the 200 fly (13th) and 100 fly (30th), and she recorded best times in the 200 free (1.6 seconds), 200 back (7.3 seconds!), and 100 breast (1.1 seconds). Simone had multiple finals swims, finishing 6th in the 100 free, 8th in the 50 free, 12th in the 200...

FCST  Team Store update! If you ordered Personalized swim caps, they will be available to pick up this weekend at the FCST hosted meet on Saturday from 10:00-2:00.  The team store will be also be open Saturday 10:00 -2:00 and will be selling dryfit shirts, shorts, towels and caps. We will also take  preorders for tank tops and dri-fit caps and visors. Stop by and get your spring and summer FCST Spirit wear!  

FCST hosted the first Developmental Invite for the White, Red, and Blue groups.  The meet provided the developmental groups an opportunity to race some short course events in a short session meet.  FCST brought 43 swimmers to the meet and swam away with numerous best times. Congratulations to Zeha Ahmed (50 Free), Amber Qu (50 Free), Eric Qui (50 Fly), and Bianca San Antonio (100 Free) for achieving new B motivational times.   Congratulations to all FCST swimmers who participated in the LSC Open Water Challenge this past week as part of the GULF Open Water Team.  The meet held in Florida had the Gulf Team come in 3rd behind Florida Swimming and Florida Gold Coast.  Those participating in the meet were Chris Yeager, Claire Donovan, Will Schuler, Josh Fruge, Schuyler Mathews, Karigan Stanley.  Swimmers swimming to a top 8 finish include Schuyler Mathews (2.5K), Josh Fruge (5K), and Chris Yeager (5K).

The First Colony Swim Team held its annual awards celebration to honor the achievments of the age group and senior swimmers during the 2013-2014 short course season. A special congratulations go to the FCST Spirit Award winners Noelle Marsh, Ashley Harmon, and Kaitlyn Swinney.
