  First Colony Wins Open Water Carnival!   42 FCST swimmers and their families traveled to Twin Lakes RV Resort for the annual Open Water Carnival. Open water swimming is an alternative competition to the traditional pool competition. Some swimmers thrive on the competition, others are looking for new pathways to success, and others participate for the recreation and fitness.   FCST swam away to victories in the men’s, women’s and combined team scores. This list comes directly from the USA Swimming database, and it now includes the April Open and Mesa Grand Prix.   LC Season begins with April Open!   182 swimmers took to the Don Cook Natatorium last weekend for the annual April Open. For many swimmers, this marks the first time competing in long course since the end of last summer, and a good place to see improvement over the past 8 months.   Special thanks to our parents and volunteers for committing their weekend to helping the meet run as efficiently as possible.   Great start to the LC season, FCST! Thanks to some new USA Swimming reports, we now have an All Time Top Ten list for each nationally recognized age group for both short and long course! All times come straight from USA Swimming's SWIMS database for results when athletes represent FCST (note: results from this weekend's meets are not in the SWIMS database yet).   Top times page updated!   The top times page has been updated with best SCY and LCM times from the 2013-14 season. The swimming calendar runs from Sept 1 until Aug 31 of the following year.   NASA Showcase Classic wrap-up     21 FCST Age group swimmers competed in the annual National Age Group Swimming Association (NASA) Showcase Classic, April 16-19 in Clearwater, Florida.   This is a unique meet with an athlete friendly format, providing a quality age-group meet with many clubs throughout the nation participating. Qualification standards are National ‘AA’ times for ages 9&U, 11, and 13 year olds; National ‘AAA’ times for 10, 12, and 14 year olds.
