FCST Wins Inaugural NASA Jr Nat’l Cup The team title came down to the last day as entering the final session FCST was holding second.  A great final evening of swimming and FCST was able to pull through and win the meet.  Leading the comeback charge was Simone Manuel who on the final relay of the weekend led off with a NEW AMERICAN RECORD in the 100 free swimming to a 46.75.  FCST put many swimmers into the top final at night in both the 16&under and the Open events. ...

FCST is proud to announce the hiring of Jonathan Hansen as the new part-time coach assistant for the FBISD Training Pool Site.   He is the current Head Coach of the Dulles High School Boys and Girls Swimming and Diving team. He has coached and taught economics at Dulles for two years and at the high school level for four years. Congratulations to Simone Manuel, who broke the American record in the 100 yard freestyle twice at the NASA Junior National Championship Cup! In prelims, Simone went a 46.83, breaking the previous American record held by Natalie Coughlin from 2011. In finals, Simone led off the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 46.75. These swims are the fastest two swims by any American female swimmer EVER! To watch the race, click here.

Twenty-three FCST seniors traveled to Clearwater, Florida for the innaugural NASA Junior National Championship Cup. FCST had arguably their best senior meet in history, with the team winning the girls and combined team championships. A more detailed recap will be posted later this week, but congratulations to all athletes on an outstanding performance!
