4 FCST Swimmers Attend All-Star Camp! 4 FCST swimmers recently participated in the annual All-Star Camp, Nov 1-3, sponsored by the Texas Swimming Association. 2 swimmers from each age (11-14), gender, and LSC are selected based on IMX scores from the previous long course season. Campers had a workout each day, along with classroom sessions from Scott Colby (USA Swimming Sport Performance Consultant), Liz Hoendervoogt (Safe Sport Coordinator). The November Open Meet Location has been announced. First Colony Swim Team will be attending the meet hosted by Lone Star Swim Team. This meet will be swam at Cy-Ranch High School, 10700 Fry Road Cypress, Texas 77433. You many find the meet information on our meet page or click here.
Beginning in September, the coaching staff will hold a montly drawing for Nike donated items for swimmers with high attendance. To qualify for the drawing, a swimmer must meet the following criteria: Senior swimmers- 95% attendance Age Group swimmers- 90% attendance Developmental swimmers- 85% attendance September winners will receive a Nike drawstring bag. On October 28th and 29th, USA Swimming's Sports Performance Consultant Scott Colby is visiting First Colony. Scott runs the classroom sessions for our elite athletes that visit the Olympic Training Center, and we are excited to have Scott bring his expertise to share exclusively with First Colony.
