This past Sunday, First Colony Swim Team took on the challenge of open water racing at Lake Longhorn with an impressive 82 swimmers representing the team. The meet featured three individual distances: 500m, 1.25K, and 2.5K, testing each athlete’s endurance, pacing, and mental toughness in a completely different racing environment than the pool. This past weekend (Sept. 20–21), FCST hosted our annual intrasquad meet at the FBISD Training Pool. The team was split into two sides: Team Blue (Anime) vs. Team Red (Cartoons). From creative costumes to loud cheers, swimmers, coaches, and parents all embraced the fun theme, making this event just as exciting on deck as it was in the pool.
